Mumbai: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband and businessman Raj Kundra came into the limelight after his name surfaced in the pornography case. Raj Kundra was granted bail after being in police custody for several weeks. At the same time, Raj Kundra has appealed in the court that he should be acquitted of these charges and his name should be removed from the case. Although it is not that easy either.
According to a report, the public prosecutor has opposed Raj Kundra’s plea to remove his name from the case. The public prosecutor has said that Prima facie it appears that Raj Kundra was directly involved in this pornography business and there is enough evidence to prove that he is guilty.
On the other hand, on the reply filed by the public prosecutor in the court, Raj Kundra’s lawyer Prashant Patil said- ‘We are ready to argue the case. We have full faith in the judiciary and the truth will come out.
Patil said that Even though prima facie case of Raj Kundra is made out but there is no evidence that he was involved in it. He said that he would argue the issue in the court which would be based on facts.
Let us tell you that the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police had arrested Raj Kundra last year for making porn films. In this case, he had to face two months in jail.
