Recently, while talking to a web portal, Ramya said- ‘A short Bollywood career gave me a chance to understand the right things as a star. No film in the Hindi industry did well in theatres. In the South, I was already a star in the Telugu film industry. I didn’t have the guts to fight my battles in Hindi cinema except in the South industry. You need a successful film to establish your place in any industry and do more and more films in it. But unfortunately that didn’t happen in Hindi and I was comfortable doing Telugu films. That’s why I went there.’
