Movies are flopping one after the other at the box office. In the midst of all this, the process of postponing the release of films one after the other in Bollywood has also started. Now questions are also arising in the mind of the audience that will these films ever be released or will we have to wait forever? Today we are talking about such big Bollywood movies.
Changed release date of these films
A few days ago, Prabhas’ upcoming film ‘Adipurush’ in January next year was postponed and sent to June. Earlier, Salman Khan extended the release date of his two big films ‘Tiger 3’ and ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’. Where ‘Tiger 3’ has now moved beyond Eid next year to Diwali. On the other hand, ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ will now release on Eid next year instead of December 31 this year. This year also three films ‘Circus’, ‘Merry Christmas’ and ‘Ganpat’ were scheduled to release on Christmas. But out of these, Katrina Kaif’s ‘Merry Christmas’ and Tiger Shroff’s ‘Ganpat’ have also been postponed.
At present, the new release date of both these films has not come, that is, this year the only film Ranveer Singh’s ‘Circus’ will be released on Christmas. Not only this, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s ‘Rocky and Rani’s love story’ to be released on Valentine’s Day next year has also been postponed, although its release date has not been revealed.
Poor performance at the box office is the reason
All the producers who have extended the release date of all these films have their different reasons. But it does not take long to understand that the sudden extension of the release date of all the films is also a disaster at the box office at the moment. This year, when theaters opened in February after the third wave of Corona, filmmakers who had been waiting to release their films for a long time released films one after the other. This year, the audience flocked to the cinema halls to watch Gangubai Kathiawadi, The Kashmir Files, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Brahmastra. At the same time, big films like Bachchan Pandey to Heropanti 2, Runaway 34, Samrat Prithviraj, Rakshabandhan, Shameshra, Lal Singh Chadha, Thank God and Ram Setu were badly beaten at the box office.
On the other hand, when producer and film business analyst Girish Johar was asked about all this, he said-‘It is true that many films have been postponed in the last few days. If the filmmakers have postponed the release of the film, then they will have some reason or the other. Of course all these films are made in expensive budget, so no producer will take the risk of releasing his film without full preparation. I am already saying that now the new content will come only on the new year, probably because most of the producers are taking their films to the next year.
On the other hand, when he was asked that the filmmakers are afraid to come to the theaters due to the frequent flop films, then in response Girish says-‘I don’t think so. Actually the dates of the films have changed. They are changing themselves according to the changed choice of the audience. However, I definitely agree that the producers of the films which are being released nowadays are not promoting the film. Of course all big budget films have to come to the theatres. However, there can definitely be a thought that if the mood of the audience is not good at the moment, then the film will be released after a little delay.
