Mumbai: Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale is no more with us. Vikram Gokhale lost the battle with life on the afternoon of 26 November. After a long illness, he breathed his last on Saturday at the age of 77 at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune.
His body was kept at Bal Gandharva Rangmandir in Pune after which his last rites took place at Vaikunth cremation ground. Recently some pictures of his last journey have come to the fore. These pictures are breaking everyone’s heart.
After the departure of husband Vikram Gokhale, his wife Vrushali broke down badly. Sometimes she used to look at the dead body of her husband with moist eyes and sometimes she would touch the coffin.
During this, his daughter Neha also looked very emotional. After the last rites, Vrushali was seen crying profusely in the arms of her relatives. These pictures of Vikram Gokhale’s funeral are heartbreaking.
Vikram Gokhale made his big screen debut in 1971 with Amitabh Bachchan’s film Parwana.
Vikram, who has acted in more than 100 Hindi-Marathi films and dozens of TV serials, tickled through comedy films like Bhool-Bhulaiya, made the audience cry with the character of permission and stunned the audience by becoming Commissioner Gaitonde in Agneepath.
Vikram Gokhale has also received the National Award for Best Actor in the year 2010 for his excellent acting in the Marathi film Ishti. Vikram Gokhale’s last big film was Mission Mangal. Apart from this, he was also seen in the Marathi film Godavari last year.
