Vikram Bhatt In a recent interview, Vikram Bhatt gave a special message for South actress Samantha and also told that today he is able to talk about his illness only after seeing her courage.

Vikram Bhatt told that he has been suffering from a disease called Fibromyalgia for a long time. I am battling this for the last 18 years. In Samantha’s case, myocyst disease causes muscle weakness, and in my fibromyalgia disease, it causes severe muscle pain, which is completely different from other pains. What is not painful for a common man, is also very painful for me. There is no cure for this disorder because your body dominates you. Only meditation and a good sleep can be useful in this disease. I am lucky that I have a good support system, but it is also very difficult.

Vikram Bhatt further said, ‘It has been a very difficult journey, which has taken a lot from me, but has also made me stronger. I want to reach out to Samantha and tell her, when I can do it, you can too. I am very happy that he spoke openly about his illness. Hiding your illness is as difficult as fighting that pain.

The director said, when he came to know about it, he had no idea what was happening. For the first four years, I did not even know what was happening. I started having depression, headaches. Many times we think that it is a different disease and we treat it differently. A physiotherapy friend of mine helped me understand fibromyalgia.

Describing the means of fighting this disease, he said, ‘There were two poems that gave me the courage to fight fibromyalgia. The first is Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s Agneepath and the second is Invictus, these are the poems which gave a ray of hope to Nelson Mandela in jail.
