Sawan Kumar Tak, director of ‘Sanam Bewafa’, passed away on Thursday in Mumbai. 86-year-old Sawan Kumar Tak breathed his last at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. The body of the filmmaker reached his Juhu home in Mumbai from the hospital on Friday morning. The family took out the funeral procession after paying their last respects. Sawan Kumar Tak was cremated at Pawan Hans crematorium. Recently pictures of the director’s last journey have surfaced. Many stars including Prem Chopra, Shyam Kaushal, Sunil Paul have come to pay tribute to the director.

It is noteworthy that on Wednesday, Sawan Kumar Tak was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital due to heart problem.

His condition remained critical. On Thursday morning, he was shifted to the ICU, where he suffered a heart attack at around 4:15 pm, after which he died.

Sawan started his career as a producer with the 1967 film Naunihal in which Sanjeev Kapoor was in the lead role.

The first film was awarded the National Award. Sawan Kumar Tak made many superhit films as a director like Sautan Ki Beti, Havas, Sautan, Bewafa Se Wafa, Sanam Bewafa, Chand Ka Tukda.
