Mumbai: The cases of sexual abuse from the B-town industry are not taking its name to stop. Recently, Telugu film actresses have accused Aditya Kapoor, a fitness trainer based in South Mumbai, of rape. The actress says that the trainer made physical relations with the promise of marriage.
The actress has lodged a complaint with the Cuffe Parade police station in Mumbai regarding this matter. In the complaint, the victim said that fitness trainer Aditya Ajay Kapoor had sex with her by promising to marry her and then reneged on the marriage. Hurt by this, the victim has filed a police case against the fitness trainer. Police have also started taking action by registering a case in this matter.
According to the information, after the FIR was registered, a case was registered against the fitness trainer under sections 376, 323, 504, 506(2), 67 and 67(A) of the IPC.
In this case the police officer said- When the actress asked for marriage, the accused insisted that she maintain physical relations with her. When he refused, he started abusing and assaulting her. He sent obscene messages to the phone numbers of the parents of the victim and threatened to kill her. Tired of the harassment, the woman approached the police.
The victim is working in the film industry since 2016. She has worked in a few Telugu films, although in some films she has appeared only in the lead role but only in small side roles.
