Mumbai: Veteran Bollywood filmmaker Sawan Kumar Tak passed away on Thursday (25 August). It was being told that on Wednesday he was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital due to heart problem. His condition remained critical.
On Thursday morning, he was shifted to the ICU, where he suffered a heart attack at around 4:15 pm, after which he died. The last rites of Sawan Kumar Tak will be performed on Friday (August 26) at 10.30 am at Pawan Hans. This information was given by his nephew Naveen Tak.

Sawan started his career as a producer with the 1967 film Naunihal in which Sanjeev Kapoor was in the lead role. The first film was awarded the National Award. Sawan Kumar Tak made many superhit films as a director like Sautan Ki Beti, Havas, Sautan, Bewafa Se Wafa, Sanam Bewafa, Chand Ka Tukda.
