Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda’s most awaited web series ‘Cat’, which is making a comeback after a long time, has been released today on 9th December on OTT platform Netflix. The series is based on the story of drug trafficking and crime in Punjab. In ‘CAT’ (Counter Against Terrorism), Randeep will be seen playing the role of undercover police agent Gurnam Singh. Directed by Balwinder Singh Janjua, the series stars Randeep along with Punjabi actors Suvinder Vicky, Manish Gulati, Hasleen Kaur, Geeta Aggarwal, Daksh Ajit Singh, Sukhwinder Chahal, K.P. Singh, Kavya Thapar, Danish Sood and Pramod Pathal. This web series of Netflix made in Punjabi is also streaming in Hindi and English.
Story
The brother of Kat’s main character Gurnam Singh (Randeep Hooda) gets caught in the quagmire of drug smuggling. Seeing his brother’s condition, Gurnam Singh becomes very broken and Gurnam Singh becomes a police informer to get his brother out of police custody. After becoming an informer, Gurnam Singh gives all kinds of information related to drugs to the police, along with risking his life, exposes the drug peddlers. The story of Gurnam Singh is the story of lakhs of such people who have got badly trapped in the quagmire of this addiction.

Randeep Hooda’s natural acting in the role of Gurnam Singh will surely win your heart. Randeep Hooda is looking amazing in Sardar’s look, it suits him a lot. He has portrayed the character with perfection. Hasleen Kaur (Babita) did not disappoint as the Punjab police officer. Also co-starring Suvinder Vicky, Manish Gulati, Geeta Agarwal, Daksh Ajit Singh, Sukhwinder Chahal, K.P. The acting of Singh, Kavya Thapar, Danish Sood and Pramod Pathal is also commendable.
Direction
The direction of the film is excellent. The subject Gambhir has chosen, showing the picture of drug smuggling in Punjab. Director Balwinder Singh Janjua has shown the film very realistically. He has also done a great job in selecting the cast for the film. The director has kept the series focused on this very important and serious issue from start to finish.
