Music school’s new song ‘IIT to MIT’ released, showing the pressure of studies on students

The makers of the upcoming Ilaiyaraaja musical ‘Music School’ have released the fourth song ‘IIT to MIT, my son will go’ from the film.

New Delhi. Recently the trailer of Paparao Biyala’s upcoming film ‘Music School’ was launched in Mumbai, which gives an insight into the relatable and gripping story of young children who succumb to parental and societal pressure to study. The trailer begins with a mother played by Mona Ambegaonkar nagging her son for IIT studies, setting plans for his future without keeping his interest in mind.

The recently launched song ‘IIT TO MIT’ highlights the stress and pressure put on young children to fulfill the typical educational dreams of the country. Composed by music maestro Ilaiyaraaja, IIT TO MIT by Anita Karthikeyan, RS Raktaksha, sung by L Vasudevan, also features Mithusree Vidyarupini, Tanushree, K. Children’s chorus is given by Smriti, Monika R, RS. Raktaksh, Pavitra Balaji, Hrithik Jaikish, Vaishnavi Maluta have also lent their voices for the chorus, with lyrics penned by Shivani Tibrewala, Dr. Sagar and Raman Raghuvanshi. The upbeat track has been choreographed by Chinni Prakash.

Music School is a multilingual musical film with a total of 11 songs, three of which are taken from the classic Broadway musical ‘The Sound of Music’. Tracing the story of a music and drama teacher attempting to set up a musical play of The Sound of Music while fighting against parental pressure, Music School tackles an extremely sensitive and important subject in an entertaining and musical way. Directed and produced by IAS officer-turned-filmmaker Paparao Biyala, the musical film employs an excellent team of technicians.The grandeur of the film was captured by cinematographer Kiran Deohans. The cast includes Shriya Saran, Sharman Joshi, Shaan and Prakash Raj in lead roles, along with debutants Oju Baruah and Gracy Goswami in pivotal roles. Other cast includes Benjamin Geelani, Suhasini Mulay, Mona Ambegaonkar, Leela Samson, Bugs Bhargava, Vinay Verma, Srikanth Iyengar, Waqar Sheikh, Fanny and many more child actors.

Presented by Yamini Films, Hyderabad, this multilingual film has been shot in Hindi and Telugu, and dubbed in Tamil. It is releasing in Hindi – Tamil and Dil Raju in Telugu on 12 May 2023 by PVR.
