Actors Sonali Bendre, Lara Dutta and Shabana Azmi have spoken out in support of Project Cyber Safe Mumbai, an initiative of the Cyber Wing of Mumbai Police and IMC Ladies Wing – Aamchi Mumbai, Safe Mumbai Committee. Launched in 2021, the initiative aims to make Mumbai safe for women and children. Shobhaa De, Kunal Vijaykar, Cyrus Broacha, Ashwin Sanghi and Mira Issac among others who supported the cause.
The poster competition is an initiative of Aamchi Mumbai Safe Mumbai Committee of Women’s wing IMC launched in 2021 to make Mumbai safe for women and children. Children are constantly online for education, research, social interaction, entertainment and gaming. They are very sensitive to cyber crime which is very rampant today. The best way to prevent cyber-crimes is to equip ourselves with the knowledge of how to protect ourselves.
Sonali Bendre said about it “Temptation! We have become click bait for unseen fraudsters, thieves, who are a huge threat to our financial security. They are very creative, like “Your electricity has been switched off today” , click the link to reverse the action” or “Your income-tax refund has arrived, click the link to verify,” ranging from formal terms like “You won 2.5 million in our recent sweepstakes ,” or “Click here for easy loans, no paperwork required.” It is very easy to fall prey to these, so let’s be prepared and be extra careful. Do not click on unverified links or visit online portals without verifying Do not shop. Be extra careful, and keep your hard earned money safe.
