Mumbai One of Kareena Kapoor’s favorite characters in her career has been the role of the smart and funny ‘Piya’ in Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘3 Idiots’. Kareena played the role of a medical student in the film who falls in love with Aamir Khan i.e. Rancho.
Now, almost 14 years after the film’s release, photos of Kareena Kapoor’s look test for ‘3 Idiots’ have surfaced. Vidhu Vinod Chopra Films shared photos on their Instagram page last Saturday. He wrote with the post, “Kareena Kapoor Khan’s look test for Piya in 3 idiots #behindthescenes #kareenakapoor #3idiots #looktest #vidhuvinodchopra #vvc.”
In the first photo, Kareena is seen in a green kurta with her hair tied in a ponytail. In the next photo, she is seen in a Maharashtrian look with a purple saree and thin glasses. In the third photo, Kareena is seen as a college student, wearing a pink top, blue dupatta and a bag on her shoulders. The fourth look clearly didn’t make the cut as it featured Kareena wearing a pink and white kurti in a bob cut. In the last pic, Kareena’s iconic look as Piya is seen wearing a red helmet and orange top.
‘Piya’ was a medical student in the film and the youngest of three children of Boman Irani, the dean of the engineering college, Veeru Sahastrabuddhi. She falls in love with Aamir Khan’s rancho but he leaves her and his friends behind to fulfill a promise he made years ago. Nevertheless, his friends and Piya finally find him in Ladakh after years, leading to the film’s happy ending.
Kareena will be next seen in ‘The Crew’, ‘The Birmingham Murders’ and ‘The Devotion of Suspect X’.
