Shweta Tiwari said-‘Many people criticize me for two failed marriages. There are many who have been divorced three or four times but no one talks about them because they are not in the limelight. So ours is more negative than positive. People blame celebrities more.
Continuing her talk, the actress said-To be honest, I tried to save my first marriage. Although I did not waste time in my second marriage. I knew if it got damaged, it was going to get worse no matter how hard I tried to save it. After a point, I decided to put an end to it. Didn’t even think for a moment what people would say.
They said- ‘I don’t believe in marriage. I even tell my daughter not to marry. This is her life but I want her to think well before getting married. It is said that, not every marriage is bad but I have also seen some of my friends in a compromised marriage which is not healthy for them or their children. That’s why I want to tell my daughter that she should do whatever makes her happy but don’t come under societal pressure.’
It is noteworthy that Shweta Tiwari married Raja Chaudhary at the age of 18. Raja Chaudhary used to kill him a lot by drinking alcohol. In such a situation, Shweta raised her voice against him and raised her daughter Palak Tiwari as a single mother. After this, she got married for the second time with Abhinav Kohli. Abhinav has a son named Reyansh Kohli. Due to some differences, Abhinav and Shweta parted ways in 2019. Till now Shweta is raising her two children alone.
