New Delhi / Team Digital. Aasman Bhardwaj marks his directorial debut with ‘Kutte’ which is a caper thriller and now fans can’t wait for the film to hit the theatres. In such a situation, before the release of the film, the makers of the film hosted a grand musical event named ‘Mehfil-e-Khas’ in Mumbai. The event was organized by lyricist-writer Varun Grover, while it was hosted by Amy.
The cast of the film Arjun Kapoor, Tabu, Naseeruddin Shah, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kumud Mishra, Radhika Madan, Shardul Bhardwaj to Aasman Bhardwaj, Vishal Bhardwaj, Gulzar, Rekha Bhardwaj, Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg, Bhushan Kumar along with the team participated in this event. Other members were also seen present.
The musical event saw live performances by Vishal Bhardwaj, singer Rekha Bhardwaj and legendary lyricist Gulzar. Rekha Bhardwaj gave a beautiful performance on the song ‘Namak Ishq Ka’ from the movie ‘Omkara’ at the event. Along with this, he also sang the title track of ‘Kutte’ along with other songs like ‘Pani Pani Re’, ‘Ek Wo Din’, ‘Ron Do’.
At the event, Aasmaan Bhardwaj, who made her directorial debut with the film, spoke on her directorial debut and shared her thoughts on new age cinema and the stories of Vishal ji, Rekha ji and Gulzar sahab.Vishal Bhardwaj directed Arjun Kapoor for the film ‘ Dedicated the song ‘Dil To Bachcha Hai Ji’ from Ishqiya. So Radhika Madan and Shardul Bhardwaj requested Vishal ji and Rekha ji to sing their all-time favorite song ‘Pehli Baar Mohabbat Ki Hai’ from the film Kaminey.
Two chart-topping songs from the film, ‘Phir Dhan Te Naan’ and ‘Awara Dogs’, have already been heard by the audience. In ‘Mehfil-e-Khas’ exclusive screening of rest of the songs of the film was done on LED. New song Tere Saath was also a part of the event. Produced by Luv Ranjan, Vishal Bhardwaj, Ankur Garg and Rekha Bhardwaj under the banner of Luv Films and Vishal Bhardwaj Films, Kutte is presented by Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series. The music of the film is by Vishal Bhardwaj and the lyrics are penned by Gulzar. The film is all set to release this Friday.
