panchayat season 2 After the first season, Prime Video delighted the viewers with Panchayat Season 2 earlier this year. Starring Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Faisal Malik and Chandan Roy, the series exceeded expectations with its strong story, screenplay, direction, dialogues and powerful performances by the actors. In the second season, Abhishek (Jeetendra) shows more interest in village politics along with his CAT exam preparation. Season 2 proved to be the perfect mix of drama, emotions and laughter and garnered an 8.9+ IMDb rating.
ashram season 3 The third season of MX Player Prakash Jha’s popular series ‘Ashram’ left the audience stunned with its unpredictable plot and twists and turns. The third season picks up from the previous season when one of Baba’s disciples, Pammi (Aditi Pohankar), has escaped from his clutches and is now out for revenge. The series featured a multitude of characters and plot lines about Baba’s lust for power and women and the changing political fortunes of the state where his ashram is located. With an ensemble cast including Bobby Deol, Chandan Roy Sanyal, and Aditi Pohankar, Ek Badnaam…Ashram goes on air on 3 June 2022. delhi crime 2 – One of the popular series on Netflix, ‘Delhi Crime’ starring Shefali Shah, Rajesh Tailang and Rasika Dugal is back with season 2 this year. Season 2 revolves around an imaginary version of an actual crime that took place in 2012, where a serial killer murdered elderly people in the city. But, despite the growth in the death rate, the police failed to identify the culprit. It will be a challenge for Vartika’s team to put an end to this gruesome series of murders. While the sequel was more brutal and graphic, this season managed to maintain the sensibility and finesse that grabbed everyone’s attention.
piggy season 3 – One of the most loved slice-of-life series, Sony LIV’s Gullak managed to achieve a rare feat with season one this year. The Mishra couple are back to share their anecdotes, about a middle class family struggling to make ends meet that are as real as everyone else’s. Season 3 saw the adult version of the Mishra brothers starring Vaibhav Raj Gupta, Gitanjali Kulkarni, Jameel Khan and Harsh Mair in lead roles. While Aman’s dreams grow bigger, Annu’s desires try to expand but he thinks it is better to sacrifice them for the sake of the family. Family drama made better with good writing.
Criminal Justice: The Unfinished Truth Season 3 – Disney+ Hotstar’s acclaimed series Criminal Justice returns with Season 3 this year. With Pankaj Tripathi once again playing the role of lawyer Madhav Mishra, the latest season focuses on the mysterious death of Zara Ahuja (Deshna Dugad), a popular teen celebrity. Her half-brother Mukul (Aditya Gupta), the prime suspect in the case, is arrested, and Madhav Mishra is brought to his rescue. The catchy script and stellar performances made this eight-episode season an instant hit.
Dharavi Bank – One of the most awaited flagship series of MX Player, Dharavi Bank releases on 19th November, 2022. Saas Bahu Aur Pickles Pvt Ltd – Starring Yamini Das, Amrita Subhash, Manu Bisht and Anjana Sukhani in lead roles, Saas Bahu Aur Achar Pvt Ltd is one of the best drama series in 2022. The story revolves around a woman, who is struggling to set up her pickle business and earn. Wants to earn money to get custody of her kids from her ex-husband. She is sent by her ex-mother-in-law to sell pickles in the market, while her children go astray as they face new challenges. It is a simple yet episodic series with a good message. The ease with which the drama portrays the sour-sweet relationship between the characters is what makes this Zee5 content stand out.
