Filmmaker Guneet Monga marries fiance Sunny Kapoor at Gurudwara in Mumbai, couple looks beautiful

Mumbai Filmmaker Guneet Monga and Delhi-based fashion entrepreneur Sunny Kapoor exchanged wedding vows in a traditional Sikh ritual on the morning of December 12. This fairy tale love story took the next step towards their happily ever after in front of the holy Guru Granth Sahib at the 4 Bungalows Gurdwara in Mumbai.

Guneet Monga is the founder and CEO of Sikhya Entertainment, a Mumbai-based production house that has produced films such as Piglet, The Lunchbox and the Oscar-winning short documentary Period End of Sentence. Sunny Kapoor is a businesswoman who heads the Delhi-based apparel brand, Meenakshi Creations, which is known for uplifting the bidness of traditional wear in the city.

Sunny and Guneet met on a dating app where friends later created profiles of them that were completely different from their real-life personalities. Extremely romantic at heart, Guneet always dreamed of a happy love story and Sunny lived up to all those criteria.

Since both are from two different cities, the wedding celebration is spread across both the cities. Monga and Kapoor’s co-workers, well-wishers, friends and family flocked to India from across the world for the bombshell Punjabi wedding. Monga, who is a staunch believer and follower of Guruji, started their wedding festivities by sharing the first invitation to Guruji’s abode – the big temple in Delhi.

The wedding rituals began on December 10 with Akhand Path Bhog and satsang and concluded with Anand Karaj in Mumbai. The new couple will soon be leaving for Delhi to be with their extended family and friends in Delhi which is also Guneet Monga’s hometown.

Guneet Monga looked drop dead gorgeous in a creation by designers Rimple and Harpreet Narula for her big day, while Sunny stunned everyone in an outfit by Delhi based fashion designer Sulakshana Jasra.

Sharing their happiness in a joint statement, Guneet and Sunny said, “We are grateful for all the love and blessings that have come our way and are glad that the year-long planning and rescheduling has been like this with all our loved ones. ended in beautiful ceremonies. Known for her sustainable lifestyle, Guneet designed her wedding in the most eco-friendly way. She is associated with ‘Project Mumbai’ to ensure that no food is wasted and the waste is either recycled or dumped permanently.
