New Delhi, Team Digital. Filmmaker Madhur Bhandakar’s film India Lockdown is going to release soon. Recently the teaser of the film was also released. This film will be based on the lockdown at the time of Corona epidemic, how the lockdown affected the lives of the people. And now India Lockdown has been screened at the prestigious International Film Festival of India.

Madhur Bhandarkar has been associated with IFFI for a long time.
Madhur Bhandakar talks about the film being screened at the International Film Festival, in which he shares his IFFI experience. Madhur Bhandarkar said- ‘I have always been associated with IFFI since the time of Chandni Bar. Almost 20-21 years since 2001 have been very good for me. I have attended IFFI many times. I have been on the Steering Committee of IFFI 4-5 times. IFFI is such a platform where you interact with so many people or any film festival is a great platform in this regard. You learn a lot about the different types of films and how people in other countries make their films within certain budget constraints. I am a filmmaker who makes films on a budget and wanted to do content driven cinema. I am very happy with the kind of work I am doing. It really means a lot to me, my actors, producers, streaming platform ZEE5 and I am overwhelmed with the response.

While the director also told about the story of his film India Lockdown, he said that people should take away that sense of unity and the way people fought that lockdown. My film ends on a very positive note.

Shared the experience of OTT platform
Please tell that India Lockdown will be released on OTT platform on 2 December. Till now many films have been released on OTT. Madhur Bhandarkar also shared his experience about the upcoming films on OTT and said that- OTT platform has benefited me a lot because my recent film Babli Bouncer has also done well on OTT and it is a family entertainer. I know people who haven’t been to theaters in the last 15-20 years have seen the film. My friends are getting me talking to their grandparents and parents who haven’t been to theaters in so many years and it is a good sign that the reach of OTT is huge. Nowadays films of big stars are also coming on OTT. That’s a good sign to me that the reach will be huge. ZEE5 has great bandwidth, and I am sure it is going to reach the right audience globally.
