Bollywood tadka team. Atul Parchure, who used to make everyone laugh with his jokes in ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’, is himself battling a serious illness. Atul, 56, is suffering from cancer and he himself has disclosed this in an interview. Hearing the news of the actor suffering from cancer, his fans got a big shock.
Revealing his illness, Atul Parchure said in a recent interview, “I had completed 25 years of marriage. When we went to Australia and New Zealand, I was fine, but after a few days I could not eat anything. I felt that something was wrong. Later my brother gave me some medicines, but they did not help me.
The actor said, after visiting several doctors, I was asked to undergo ultrasonography. When the doctor did this, I could see the fear in his eyes and I was convinced that something was wrong. I was told that I have a tumor about 5 cm long in my liver and it is cancerous. I asked him whether I would be fine or not and he said, ‘Yes, you will be fine. However, the treatment backfired and my health deteriorated further and the surgery was delayed.”
Atul said, “My first procedure after finding out went wrong. My pancreas was affected and I started having problems. The wrong treatment really worsened the condition. I couldn’t even walk. I Used to stammer while talking. In such a condition, the doctor told me to wait for one and a half months. He said if they do the surgery, I will have jaundice for years and my liver will be filled with water or I will not survive. I changed doctors and took proper medication and chemotherapy.”
Atul said that he missed working with the team because of his health otherwise he could have accompanied them on their international tour. The actor told that I have been doing Kapil Sharma for many years. He called me to play Sumona’s father. I could not perform in those episodes because of my cancer. I could have gone on an international tour with Kapil. I will know soon whether I have fully recovered or not.”
