Permission was denied to his comedy show citing its impact on communal harmony. Meanwhile, the comedian has kept his word on the continuously being canceled show. He told that he is very upset by such things. He feels like committing suicide.
Actually, during a show in the year 2021, Munawwar Farooqui was accused of joking on God. There was a lot of uproar over it. After this, a case was also registered against him and arrest was also made, but despite all this, nothing changed and the shows of Munawwar Farooqui are getting canceled continuously. Now Munawwar Farooqui’s pain has spread on this.
In the interview given after the Delhi show was banned, Munawwar said-‘It took me a long time, I have harmed myself> Sometimes I felt that I should punish myself. I am so angry with myself that I should do something with myself. Sometimes it seems that I am so guilty, let’s kill myself, but then it seemed that I do not want to go to hell after dying like this.
‘After the thought of ending life, I used to think that no, this is wrong. Then it seemed that let’s go a little and now everything will be fine. Let’s see. Now I have made friends with my loneliness. I have accepted that if you stay alone, there will be no hope. I get more happiness, I get scared. When you get a lot of love, there is more fear of losing. I have suffered so much of these controversies that it has become a habit now. Waking up in the morning, I just see that now what has become a dispute with me. What new earthquake has come in my life now?
The case registered on Munavvar in 2021 is still going on. Talking on this, Munawwar says-People follow me, they think I have passed through the narrow street but it is not so. I have come to jail after serving a sentence. That case against me is still going on. I am not acquitted. I am trapped There is a sword hanging on my head, yet my shows get cancelled. My work is being taken away from me.’ On the work front, Munavvar was also seen in Kangana Ranaut’s show Lockup. Where he had won on his own.
