Boman Irani has also expressed grief over the death of Cyrus. Both Boman and Cyrus belong to the Parsi community. Expressing grief, Boman wrote- ‘Cyrus’ passing away is a great loss to the Parsi community. I am extremely shocked and saddened to hear the news of his passing. A big man of our country and of the business world, who belonged to the Parsi community, left. That too at such a young age, is extremely sad.’

After this, in the year 2016, he was removed from this post by Ratan Tata and after that N Chandrasekaran came to this post.
