BJP president boycotted Munawar’s show, said – he makes fun of Hindu gods and goddesses in the name of comedy

Comedian Munawwar Farooqui is often in discussion about controversies. Recently, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA in Telangana had threatened to attack Munawwar Farooqui and said that he would set the stage on fire if the state government allowed Munawwar to hold a show in Hyderabad. On the other hand, when the comedian’s show is going to be organized in Hyderabad today (Saturday), before that BJP President Bandi Sanjay Kumar has announced to boycott it.

Taking a jibe at the ruling TRS, captive Sanjay Kumar tweeted, “The TRS government’s comedy circus run by a bunch of clowns in Telangana is not enough, they are now bringing Munawwar Farooqui.”

Questioning the message being given to Hindus by allowing Manuwar Farooqui’s program, Sanjay Kumar said that Munavwar makes fun of Goddess Sita and Lord Shri Ram in the name of comedy. I say boycott all those shows in which Hindu gods and goddesses are made fun of.”

Let us tell you that after a complaint filed by a Hindutva organization called Jai Shri Ram Sena Sangathan, Bengaluru Police on Friday canceled the show in the city. The organization accused Munawar that his show ‘Dongri to Nowhere’ would hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus. However, the comedian shared the post on his social media and said that he has canceled the show due to ill health.

Let us tell you that in the year 2021, Munawwar Farooqui came into controversy due to his jokes. Since then, his shows are being canceled in several states. Not only this, the comedian was arrested in Indore in January last year and was granted bail by the Supreme Court in February.
