Big relief to Leena Manimekalai in black poster controversy, court upholds stay on arrest

Recently a big news has come out regarding the black poster controversy. The court has upheld the stay on the arrest of controversial film producer Leena Manimekalai. Along with this, the court also said that the states which have not yet filed their reply, should file their reply. Last month also, the Supreme Court had stayed the relief to the filmmaker and gave today’s date i.e. 20th August for the hearing.

In the last hearing, Leena Manimekalai’s lawyer Kamini Jaiswal had said that Leena is a famous filmmaker. There are 6 cases registered against him, in which a total of 6 cases have been registered in UP, MP, Uttarakhand, Delhi. Look out circular has been issued. Leena Manimekalai has demanded cancellation of cases filed against her in several states.

Along with this, there was an LGBTQ flag in one hand and a trishul in the other. As soon as this poster came in front, there was a ruckus. There were protests in several states and the Leena documentary was accused of inciting religious sentiments. Since then, Leena was embroiled in controversies.
