Anil Kapoor says, ‘It was really fun playing Majnu Bhai. I didn’t feel like acting, it just came naturally to me and with Anees Bhai’s writing and direction and Nana being the perfect co-star as Uday Bhai, it got even easier and a lot of fun Went.’
He further adds that ‘I see a lot of recreations of his dialogues on social media and it is amazing how he is still connected to the generation. Will cherish the memories on the set with Akshay, Nana, Paresh, Katrina. We used to laugh a lot off camera after the final take. It has amazing movies, characters and experiences with everyone. I am very grateful for this growing love for him.
Majnu Bhai’s fan following is not short-lived. It’s so crazy that coffee mugs, pillow covers and even t-shirts featuring the character have become a favorite of the audience. Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal recreated his famous painting on social media, garnering instant popularity and buzz. Kriti Sanon also made headlines by wearing a dress with Majnu Bhai’s painting on it. Majnu Bhai is no longer a character but a spirit that will always be with us.
