Soon after the case, Salman received several threatening notes from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and was also attacked. The gangster, who is in jail for allegedly killing Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala, has once again threatened Salman Khan and asked for an apology from his community.
In fact, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, lodged in Bathinda jail, has warned that Salman Khan should apologize for the killing of a black buck in 1998, otherwise he should be ready to face the consequences.
Jailed Bishnoi In a phone conversation with a TV channel, Bishnoi said, ‘Salman has let down our society a lot. The case went on for twenty-twenty-five years, but he never apologized to our society. In our area, we did not allow animals to be killed, green trees were not allowed to be cut, they hunted after coming to Bishnoi area. There was anger in our society. We wanted him to apologise. That’s why we are against them since childhood. I was four or five years old when the hunting happened. If it ever happens, we will try and answer them accordingly.
On sending a threatening letter to Salman, Lawrence Bishnoi said, “I have not sent any letter. I was on remand. When the Mumbai Police came to inquire, I told them that I had nothing to do with the letter. … If we ever answer, we will give a solid answer. If our society forgives them, then we have nothing to do with them. If our society does not forgive them, then we will take action on our own. We will not depend on the court.
Lawrence said, “Ahead of Bikaner, there is a temple of our society in Nokha tehsil. They come there and apologise. Otherwise, sooner or later we will break their ego. We are requesting that you apologize to our society. There is no threat to Salman Khan from the Lawrence gang. All we are requesting is to apologize to our society. Our God used to keep deer. They came there and hunted. The common people of our society are against them. We did not want to fight the case.
Lawrence Bishnoi didn’t stop here, he added, “Which gunman does Shah Rukh Khan have? If you want to kill only for fame, there are very few people in Bollywood, they would have killed anyone. There is a purpose, that’s why they are telling (to Salman). If all this had to be done for the sake of fame or money, then if anyone from Bollywood was roaming in the middle of Mumbai, they would have killed them, but there is no such thing. Never committed crime for money. Money was also offered by Salman Khan, but this is a fight of pride. Some people of our community were lodged in Jodhpur Jail. Those people were approached, money was offered, but then we refused.
Let us tell you that in June last year, an unsigned letter was received by Salman Khan in which it was said that his death will also be like that of singer Musewala. After the threat, Salman was given Y+ security and a gun license was also given.
