New Delhi / Team Digital. After Article 15 and Thappad, Anubhav Sinha is back with another socially significant film ‘Bheed’. The film will hit the big screens on 24 March 2023 and is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar and Anubhav Sinha.
Anubhav Sinha is known for highlighting socially relevant topics through his cinema. ‘Bheed’ his next film post Article 15 and Thappad promises to be a powerful commentary on modern society and is set against the backdrop of India lockdown of 2020 which interestingly also marks the third year of the first nationwide lockdown. The film is scheduled to release on March 24, 2023, and is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar and Anubhav Sinha with a power-packed cast starring Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Kapur, Bhumi Pednekar, Dia Mirza and Ashutosh Rana.
The film’s director Anubhav Sinha says, “Bheed is a film that reflects the complexities and contradictions of our times.” “Bheed is a story that throws light on the social inequality that the country faced during its most difficult times. It was important for me to bring this story alive and share it with the audience.”
Commenting further on the matter, Bhushan Kumar says, “Anubhav Sinha and I have a long history of working together. This is our third joint project in 2023 and it has been a tremendous journey. Crowd is a film that Will share a deep and insightful insight.” His vision of perspective and experience as a director is second to none in the difficult times our country has gone through in recent years.”
The film stars Rajkumar Rao, Pankaj Kapur, Bhumi Pednekar, Dia Mirza, Ashutosh Rana, Virendra Saxena, Aditya Srivastava, Kritika Kamra and Karan Pandit. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Anubhav Sinha’s Banaras Mediaworks.
