Mumbai TV’s popular show ‘Kundali Bhagya’ fame Anjum Fakih has said goodbye to the show after 6 years. Anjum became a household name after playing the role of Srishti in ‘Kundali Bhagya’. She was a part of the show right from the beginning, and now after almost 6 years, Anjum has finally decided to bid adieu to the show and the reason being that she has now become a confirmed contestant of Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 13.
During an interview, Anjum Fakih revealed the real reason for leaving ‘Kundali Bhagya’. Let us tell you that, ‘Kundali Bhagya’ recently took a generation leap of 20 years and new actors like Paras Kalnawat, Sana Sayyed and Baseer Ali have been roped in to play the lead roles in the show. Thus, Anjum decided to exit the show as she felt that the time has come for new characters to shine.
Anjum told that, ‘I believe that the story has reached such a point where it has become necessary to introduce new chapters with new characters. It took six years for Kundli to jump 20 years. It was much needed for the growth of the show and the story needed it too. Now, after the leap, I feel my character Srishti doesn’t have much to do, which was there for 6 years.’
Anjum will soon be seen in ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 13’. He said that he feels that his character in ‘Kundali Bhagya’ was strong even after the generation leap, but he believes that it is time for newcomers to shine on the screen. Anjum is serving her notice period and she also said that she would not think of coming back again if the makers of Kundali Bhagya require her.
Anjum will be seen in a reality show for the first time, she is all set to enter Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 13.
