Mumbai: Krishna Ghattamaneni, father of South Superstar Mahesh Babu and veteran actor of Telugu cinema, is no more with us. Krishna breathed his last on Tuesday morning at the age of 80. Krishna Kodil was admitted to the Continental Hospital in Hyderabad after suffering a stroke.
Despite all efforts, he could not be saved. From the general public to the stars, they are paying tribute to Krishna with moist eyes through social media. Amidst all this, veteran actor’s daughter Manjula Ghattamaneni shared an emotional post in the name of her father. The grief of losing father after mother is clearly visible in Manjula’s post.
Manjula shared a smiling picture of her father on her Insta account and wrote-‘You are a superstar to the world and to us, at home, you are a loving, simple father who is always there for us no matter what. Even in your busy schedule, you were always there for us. Gave us everything we needed.
You never lectured us on how to live life. You taught us through your deeds. Your simplicity, gentleness, knowledge, discipline, punctuality and generosity were commendable. Your legacy and immense contribution to cinema will live on forever.’
He further wrote-‘You are my strength, you are my backbone and you are my hero. Your love is an endless ocean. You gave us everything we needed even when we didn’t know we needed it. I am missing you a lot. I miss our 11 o’clock calls, lunches and talks. I don’t think I will ever get over this loss of losing you. Love you forever Nana.
Lost three close ones in 1 year
The year 2022 proved to be extremely inauspicious for superstar Mahesh Babu and his family. Within a year, he lost three of his closest friends. In the beginning of the year 2022, Mahesh Babu had lost his brother Ramesh Babu. Mahesh Babu’s elder brother and actor-producer Ramesh Babu passed away 11 months ago on late night of January 8 due to liver ailment. Mahesh Babu’s mother Indira Devi passed away on 28 September 2022. Indira Devi was ill for a long time before her death. At the same time, on November 15, the father’s shadow rose from his head.
