New Delhi / Team Digital. Richa Chadha is ready for a meeting, but this meeting is not to be with any person. The actress was formally trained in the classical dance form of Kathak as a child, but due to board exams, Richa had to leave her dance practice midway. But when she got an opportunity to learn Kathak for her role in ‘Hiramandi’ directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, she didn’t let it go. Richa started taking Kathak training again.

The actress says, “I took Kathak training from Pandit Abhay Shankar Mishra in my childhood as a child of ten years. Then life moved on and my love for dance was left behind. I was afraid that I would lose my touch in this art, it takes practice. But it felt like swimming and I think I can swim without a lifejacket. I think dance has the ability to make a person more grounded, confident and of course happy. Dance is a medicine to keep moving. This year I hope to complete my degree in dance form under the tutelage of my guru Pt. Rajendra Chaturvedi.”
