The staff says that he was fine a few days ago but now his health has deteriorated so much that he has not even been able to go to his office in recent days.

Shyam Benegal was busy preparing for his upcoming film ‘Mujib: The Making of a Nation’. The film will be based on the life of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the first President of neighboring Bangladesh.
