According to a report, in the Miss Universe pageant contest to be held this year, it has been announced to end the rule that has been going on for the last 70 years. According to the new rules, now married women will also be able to take part in this competition. This rule will be implemented from the 72nd edition of the year 2023.
Prior to the recently implemented rule, only unmarried women in the age group of 18 to 28 years could participate in this competition. This change has brought happiness on the faces of many people.
Let us tell you that till now India has won the title of Miss Universe three times. For India, this title was first won by Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen in the year 1994. After this, Lara Dutta in the year 2000 and Harnaz Kaur Sandhu was crowned Miss Universe in the year 2020.
