Kareena Kapoor calls ‘The White Lotus’ season 2 ‘genius’, has a special request from Zoya Akhtar!

Kareena Kapoor reviews ‘The White Lotus’ season 2. He called the second season ‘brilliant’. She made a request to her director-friend Zoya Akhtar.

Mumbai Actress Kareena Kapoor has praised the second season of ‘The White Lotus’. He uploaded a story on his Instagram praising the second season of White Lotus. White Lotus Season 2 premieres on HBO and HBO Max from October 30 this year. The last episode aired on 11 December. Kareena called this season ‘genius’ and made a special request to her director friend Zoya Akhtar, to which Zoya replied to her request.

Taking to Instagram Stories last Saturday night, Kareena shared her thoughts about ‘The White Lotus’ and wrote, “White Lotus Season 2 One word genius. We can do this too… Zoya Akhtar @zoieakhtar are you listening?”

Zoya Akhtar reshared Kareena’s story on her Instagram Stories and wrote, “Can’t wait for @kareenakapoorkhan. I hear you loud and clear.”

Zoya is the daughter of screenwriter Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani. Farhan Akhtar is his brother. Zoya made her Bollywood debut as a director in 2009 with Luck By Chance. He has directed films like Gully Boy starrer Alia Bhatt with Ranveer Singh, Dil Dhadakne Do-starrer Anushka Sharma and Priyanka Chopra. He has also directed Lust Stories, Made in Heaven, Sheela Ki Jawani and Ghost Stories.

She is gearing up for the release of The Archies. It is a live-action musical film adaptation of the comic book of the same name. The film will mark the Bollywood debut of star kids Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor and Agastya Nanda. The film will release in 2023.

Kareena was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha alongside Aamir Khan, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya. The film did not do well at the box office, but was loved by the audience upon its Netflix release. She will now be seen in The Devotion of Suspect X. She also has a thriller with Hansal Mehta.

The White Lotus tells stories of wealthy people holidaying in expensive hotels. It is a satire on the indulgence, narrow-mindedness and selfishness of the rich and the wealthy and how they leave a path of destruction for the lesser.
