Mumbai: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut remains in the news due to more statements than her films. Kangana was recently nominated in the category of Best Actress for Filmfare, one of Bollywood’s biggest awards. He got the nomination for the film ‘Thalaivi’, however now his nomination has been withdrawn. Actually, Kangana started making false and baseless allegations against the magazine.
Kangana’s statement
In her Insta story, Kangana wrote-I have turned away from immoral, corrupt and totally unfair practices like Filmfare since 2014 but I am getting many calls to attend their award ceremony this year.
He wants to give me an award for ‘Thalaivi’. I am shocked to know that they are still nominating me. Encouraging this type of corrupt practice in any way is below my dignity, work ethic and ethics so I have decided to sue Filmfare…Thank you.
After this act of Kangana, the magazine has withdrawn Kangana’s nomination by issuing a long statement.
Filmfare called the allegations false
After Kangana’s statement, the Filmfare Award has said in response that the actress was not asked about the award or for any performance at the event. The magazine has also published the message that was sent to Kangana for her nomination. In this message it was written- Hello Kangana, congratulations on your nominations at the Filmfare Awards. It would be a pleasure to have you there. Please confirm your attendance on 30th August at Jio World Convention Center in BKC, Mumbai. This will help you to reserve your seats. Please send us your home address so that we can send you invitations.’
The magazine has also said in its long message that the allegations made by Kangana are false and baseless. He wanted to celebrate Indian cinema with all the film actors by inviting Kangana to the function. Filmfare has also made it clear in its message that they give the award to the nominee even when she is neither present in the function nor does she give any performance.
