This film is showing the suspense of myth and mystery in the best way. The film was released in Bangladesh on 29 July 2022, after which it has been a steady success. Let us tell you that this film is still running on screen in Bangladeshi cinemas and people are liking it a lot. Considering the blockbuster performance of ‘Hawa’, it will be released in India as well. The film is also being sent as the official entry from Bangladesh to the 95th Oscar Awards to be held next year.

The story of ‘Hawa’ is based on fishing boatmen and fairies. In which a group of sailors catch a different type of fish in the sea. Actually this fish is a mysterious girl who comes to a different world. Through this film, the condition of a woman in a patriarchal society has been shown in a very poignant way. ‘Hawa’ was being called a remake of ‘Sea Fog’ by some people, but the film’s director Mejbour Rahman says that the story of ‘Sea Fog’ is on human trafficking whereas there is nothing like that in his film.

India-Bangladesh media business will open new doors
Shreyashi Sen Gupta of Reliance Entertainment, the company releasing the film in India said, “We have the distribution rights of Hawa in many countries including India. The release of Hawa in India will open new doors for media business in India and Bangladesh.”

Will release on this date
The film will release in Kolkata and West Bengal on December 16, while in the rest of the states it will hit the theaters on December 30. Chanchal Chowdhary, Najeef Tushi,Sariful Islam Rez, Suman Anwar, Nasir Uddin Khan and Shohail Mondol etc have acted in the film. ‘Hawa’ has been nominated for ‘International Feature Film’ from Bangladesh at the 95th Academy Awards which is a huge achievement for any film.
