Mumbai Actor Babil Khan’s work in the film ‘Kala’ was well received. Recently, Babil arrived at an award show wearing his late father Irrfan Khan’s suit. Babil was awarded the ‘Best Debutant of the Year’ award in this show. Babil shared this award with actor Shantanu Maheshwari. Shantanu made his Bollywood debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. On this special occasion, the actor said- ‘The joy of winning collectively is always more than winning individually. I am so grateful that I got to share this with the incredibly talented Shantanu.
Thanking the entire team of ‘Kala’, Babil said, “I thank the entire team of Kala especially Anvita, Clean Slate, Anushka Sharma, Tripti, Swastika and everyone associated with the film for believing in me and supporting me. Gave it a chance. This award is not just a celebration of my work but also a testament to the support and love I have received.
Apart from Babil, Trupti Dimri, Swastika Mukherjee, Amit Sial and Sameer Kochhar have also played lead roles in the film ‘Kala’. It is directed by Anvita Dutt. ‘Kala’ is available to stream on the OTT platform.
